Known predominantly as the moniker Alec Sala, Alex Hall is a London based songwriter, touring musician and music producer based in North London.

As a songwriter and multi instrumentalist, he has had tracks aired by Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music and he has been featured numerously as an artist on air on BBC Introducing. He was recently invited to play at prestigious The Union Chapel, Islington – home of the BBC4 Music sessions.

As a producer, Alex specialises in working with artists to produce modern and retro sounding radio worthy recordings – drawing on his influences from Popular music to more innovative and obscure artists. He specializes in Logic 9/10 audio workstations and brings a fresh and intuitive approach to recording techniques. He has an eclectic range of self composed and collaborative studio recordings in the prestigious Universal Publishing Production Music library (UPPM) in conjunction with Hub Music Publishing.

As a touring guitar player with Mowtown Icon Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Alex has made several TV appearances, gigged main stage at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Secret Garden Party and The Wickerman Festival and has performed in some of the most well known UK venues including the sold out ‘Live At The Palladium’ – Royal London Palladium.

As a trumpet player and a piano player Alex works in a variety of Jazz, Pop and contemporary music projects around London and the UK.
